Job Description

Duration: 1-Year Contract (extension possible; conversion eligibility after 2 years if the role remains active)

Location: Alameda, CA 94502

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexible)

Pay Rate: Up to $68.77/hour


Important Note

The Hiring Manager strongly prefers candidates with in-house corporate recruiting experience and a proven track record as a strategic Talent Acquisition business partner. Candidates whose experience is primarily agency-based may not be successful unless they can clearly demonstrate:

  • Building and driving hiring strategies
  • Influencing stakeholders and hiring decisions
  • Consulting closely with hiring managers
  • Serving as a trusted talent advisor rather than solely filling requisitions

Top Qualifications

1. Biotech / Pharmaceutical Recruiting Experience

  • 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience within Biotechnology and/or Pharmaceutical organizations
  • Strong preference for candidates who have spent the majority of their recruiting career supporting life sciences functions

2. Oncology Recruiting Experience

Highly preferred experience recruiting for oncology-focused organizations and teams, including:

  • Clinical Operations
  • Clinical Development
  • Regulatory Affairs
  • CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls)
  • Clinical Research

3. Recruiting Volume & Complexity

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex requisitions simultaneously
  • Experience filling mid-to-senior level positions, including:
    • Manager
    • Senior Manager
    • Associate Director
    • Director
  • Ability to discuss recruiting volume, complexity, and business functions supported throughout career

4. Strategic Talent Acquisition Partnership

  • Acts as a proactive and strategic recruiting partner
  • Drives the recruiting process from intake through offer
  • Collaborates effectively with hiring managers and cross-functional teams
  • Provides market intelligence and hiring recommendations
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable influencing decision-makers and professionally challenging hiring teams when appropriate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience partnering closely with scientific leaders and hiring teams supporting oncology programs
  • Strong understanding of life sciences talent markets and competitive hiring landscapes
